My parents just came back from ISETAN! didn't wanna tell me do what but probably went out to shop right .... don wan tell me so i won't tag along and WANT THIS WANT THAT!But at least they came back with a bunch of Japanese Food~! Sushi and Sashimi! If you know me well enough i absolutely ADORE japanese food for mainly a few reason. I love those days when my parents go out to shawcentre on their Friday Movie Dates and bring back some "50% off after 1030" yumyums from the supermarket at the basement of Isetan. Probably the lack of appetite these few days made me even happier when the food arrived. Though not the freshest of the lot, the salmon belly may smell a little. Still i happily munch on it with wasabi and jap soya sauce, while watching SNSD videos on youtube. I like the taste of japanese food probably cause of this taste. This taste that is unique of jap food, korean food does not taste the same. I wonder what this magical ingredient is but it taste refreshing. Beside most jap food are hardly oily, yet retaining it's ultra tasty value. Now THAT'S magic. Besides the fact that it's loaded from carbs, japanese food under my consideration is one of the most healthy food in the entire world. Unless you find some other country that like eats boiled vege and brown rice porridge as their staple. I remember when i went to japan, i had japanese food everyday. It was like a little piece of heaven for 7 days i was munching on the best yumyums. Whatever japanese cuisine i had in singapore before, i had it in japan , from takoyaki to the tastiest ramen you can ever imagine. And even some other japanese food like gold-foil tofu. I guess another reason why i like jap food is from my dad who is an avid fan since like dunno when. When we were young special occasions always ought to be celebrated in like sakae, or sushi tei. However my mother can never understand then why would anyone like cold and bland raw fish. Still as time passed, we all cultivated the love for this food that now my mum wouldn't complain if i wanted to go waraku for dinner. Japanese fusion dishes are not entirely bad either but i still prefer authentic. Jap pasta and jap burgers are quite tasty as well. Though i cannot understand the taste of squid ink pasta. I tink its just taste and looks awful. So nowadays when my frens and I go out for dinner. They'll know theres only one place i'll suggest. Sushi TEI! Haha i absolutely love their RAINBOW ROLL! Affordable and yummy! Ok actually Sushi tei stuff is NOT that affordable. But still worth it rite? So guys when can we go SUSHI TEI? back to top? |
