Food For The Heart

Hello it's me again! Omg i'm like damn bored in the Whitehouse cause everyone is out and about having their morning routines and i'm here doing HQBO without my partner benlim. My band is having off today so its really like me left lor. I'm like so sian that i decided to blog the entire day to fill up my hours of boredom. So here's post No. 1!

Everyone whose everyone know's that I simply love food. And since i've slimmed down quite abit, i really cannot afford to binge like i used to. In case i waste all my efforts slimming down. That why my appetite decided to shrink but good thing though. That why now wish that my every meal be food that i would enjoy, that would make me happy. I wouldn't want to waste my stomach on all those kfc, mac nonsense anymore. Well at least if i'm not craving for it.

And i recently realised one very very important fact. I enjoy eating at different places with different people. Say if i were to go out with ryhn and alrik, i pretty much wouldn't pick a bar or and ice cream parlour. Why izit that so i would never know, so let's go down the list of places shall we?

Going our with Ryhn & Alrik.
I would probably chose a new place to eat out with them. Like say Chopinette at Bukit Timah, or maybe like Werner's Oven at siglap. Yea somewhere far and inaccessible where we can source for delicious cuisines! Some exciting new diner that we can sit down and sample all the new stuff and update each other on our sorry little lives. Better to be some where deserted cause our lives are oh-so-scandalicious. Wouldn't it be terrible if someone found out the secrets. Besides that we're just three people who share a terrible guilty love for good food and good ambiance. And with good company, that would just be perfect.

Going out with Marist Clique.
Would be somewhere slightly different from where i would venture with ryhn and alrik. It would be somewhere centralised, probably town or the city. Food must not be too expensive if not people will complain, but more importantly it must be VALUE FOR MONEY. Thats how my favourite clique works. So we usually end up at the usual few diners in town. Generic places like Fish & Co, Waraku, Billy Bombers, Cafe Cartel would be the ideal place to hang out and catch up cause we're a poor bunch of army guys. Worse comes to worse why not just MAHJONG at someone's place. You can't deny that that's the most VALUE FOR MONEY =D. Not that i don't enjoy any of those, i might be more cheapskate that most people think.

Going out with Primary School Friends.
Going out with my primary school friends would probably bring us to a nice icecream parlour in the Jelita, Holland Village & Six Avenue Estates. I just feel that it bring back good childhood memories when we have ice cream together. Sharing our wonderful memories of the past. I really had a blast in primary school and having this sweet treat that every single child would adore just makes me feel like a kid once more. And also the ice that i still LOVE icecream to bits make me wanna have icecream with my friends, at any occasion.

Going out with JC friends.
Whether it's my PAE, or band friends or even my JAE class. It just screams BAR BAR BAR! Yes JC was the time i found company in drinks. I mean i'm not an AVID fan of alcohol but i do enjoy company at bars. Especially quiet ones like Jazz@ Southbridge. Yes but i do have to admit i had some crazy time boozing in JC times so my JC friends and I do relate our company to having a round of drinks. I do booze with ryhn and alrik too but i still drink the most with yimin hc they all. Not saying that they are bad company or whatever ok. I enjoy going to bars as much as icecram parlours cause its the company that is the most important. Good food that i enjoy is an added bonus =)

BUFFET. Undoubtedly buffet. Band people are a hungry gluttony bunch and what better way to settle cravings than to have a hearty buffet. Omg making me hungry now. Not that i have many buffets with them but when i do i always enjoy myself alot! And the fact that most people i have buffets with are either my size or bigger than me make my less self-conscious about eating so much. And omg the conversations we have are epic, when we eat, we get happy and then we start spouting nonsense. After talk, THEN WE EAT MORE! yes buffets are the way with band peeps.

Going out with Band Seniors.
2 words. Sushi Tei. I had Sushi Tei with many many groups of people before in case any of you haven't realised Sushi Tei happens to be one my All-Time-Favourite places to eat. My seniors are the few that appreciate the quality of great Japanese cuisine and thats why i always drag them out to eat Sushi Tei cause they will surely enjoy it. Watching people enjoy their food makes me really happy so it kind of amplifies the satisfaction i get from having my food too. So i'll always bring my band seniors to Sushi Tei.

Going out with Eupho Section.
DEFINTELY BUFFET! Wah this one is even more epic! I have been having buffets with Steven Melissa and Andrea since we were poor struggling JC kids. Back then i was this fat kid and then there were my 3 skinny section members. Now its 4 skinny euphos but still we eat like bears, like melissa. What i enjoy about having buffets is the carefree way we order our food. "Arh so full already cannot eat, arh nvm order alrdy sure eat one" Haha it always seems to be the case and so we eat more. Meanwhile while eating, we gossip to no end. Updating each other on the latest band news of course with Andrea bring us the most juicy news hehe! Hopefully we can employ more of the NEW eupho jrs to join us for BUFFET! Joan & Sean & Yeow Tong!

Haha I'm done! Yea turns out my HQBO duty took and interesting turn when BenLim, Johan and Zhichao came to keep me company. Time flew so fast i woke up the next day feeling i was in the last. Ok at least I'm done with this post. Cya!
