Hello haven't been blogging regularly. There are some stuff that i urgently need to settle in my life like stuff i would like to continue doing and stuff i would like to stop so i have been thinking alot lately. Yes contrary to popular belief I can actually think.

My recent trip back to BMTC for the POP of the recruits have been nothing but fun and reminiscent. Though i was only down for one parade the rehearsals made me think back when i was still a wee little recruit. Now i'm a CPL and that's like the last stretch towards ORD lo!

Looking back at the day itself when i threw my jockey cap high into the sky and shouted POP LO! I mean gosh that was probably one of the happiest day of my life, I ran back to the FUP with friends shouting and cheering at my side and the feeling of that adrenaline rush still sticks close to me. Even now when i see the recruits throwing the caps into the sky and the horrid celebration song playing at the back. I can't help but feel happy for them and a smile would appear on my face, quite odd actually.

I still remember the days where we wake up at the crack of dawn, drag our half aching half dead bodies into the basketball court to go 5BX. And if its an especially bad day, we have to run. And then we drag our sticky and wet bodies to the humid canteen and force ourselves to eat food that is either too oily or too bland. No wonder i slimmed down haha. Then we'll march back to our bunks and do area cleaning, some days we will just lie in between beds and sleep away and then the last 5 mins try to clean the obvious areas and hope the sergeants won't catch us.

Then there are those field lessons on camo, urban ops, whathaveyou. I remember i would always put on my long 4 and lbv and hope and pray the sun wouldn't get too hot and true enough there will be a huge cloud nearby to shelter us from the harsh rays of the sun. The theoretical part of the lessons would be boring ttm. Haha i always thought the exercises were quite fun, shooting blanks, hiding in the bushes and rolling in dirt. Those were quite fun times, that's provided i didn't have heat rash, like i did during field camp.

Yes and then there was field camp. Heat rash and all. Thank god very very much for not letting it rain at all i thought it was a little miracle in that sense. Most of the time it was quite fun with all the exercises that actually i didn't really understand much but we just did it cause our commanders told us to. There was the mealtimes where we would try to sit in shade and much on combat rations which i tot was actually quite tasty (except the pastas one). I especially remembered the last day when I slept under the stars cowboy style with jonathan and yongzhi. LAST DAY OF FIELD CAMP. I was like alrdy uber happy thinking about what to do once i reach mainland singapore! Haha with a giant grasshopper flying past my face i screamed and went to sleep soon with everyone giggling beside me and the thunder roaring nearby (still it didn't rain :))))

Then there was booking out every friday night. Fortunately enough, leopard being a warrant company would have one of the best book out timings, not always the first, but acceptable. We would be singing our hearts out as we marched to the TFT. Take the penguin to mainland where a few of us section mates would head on down to burger king. In those times, even i whopper was like heaven to me. We would slowly savour our bit of heaven while chatting happily on what we're gonna do in the weekend, and *gasp next week when we book in.

Haha yep thats all the reminiscing that i have for this post. Yes band is even better but if i would have to elaborate on everything we would need tenths of post. Band has been nice to me and i have met people who are dear to me in some way or another. Yes THANK GOD!
